Test gas cans and pressurised gas cylinders

Test gas cans and pressurised gas cylinders from SEWERIN

What to do with the empty test gas cans and test gas cylinders after use?

Disposing of these SEWERIN test gas cans, which are used for calibration is very simple. Like aerosol cans or paint sprays, they belong to the group of pressurised gas packagings according to UN 1950. These packagings are characterised by a maximum volume of one litre and a maximum pressure of 12 bar. As a “limited quantity”, these can also be sent by post without any problems. SEWERIN test gas cans are designed as a disposable solution and, together with the SEWERIN test equipment (SPE), offer easy handling. The material is made of high-quality aluminium, which makes recycling practical.

With the “green dot” attached, the test gas cans can simply be placed in the yellow bag or yellow bin for further recycling when the contents have been used up.

Our fuel gas and test gas cylinders, on the other hand, are refillable! This means you can simply send your empty cylinders back to us and we will take care of the rest. You may not get the exact same cylinder back, but there's a good reason for that.

We keep the most common cylinder models in stock in an empty state to keep delivery times as short as possible. As soon as we receive your empty cylinder, we will send you a replacement cylinder, freshly filled and with a valid TÜV certificate. In the meantime, your old cylinder goes to the gas manufacturer, where it will be thoroughly cleaned. This is how we ensure that gas purity is guaranteed when refilling.

Why bother? Cleaning and testing are essential to ensure the high quality and safety of the gases.

When shipping pressurised gas cylinders, please note that they are considered hazardous goods. They must therefore be sent by a shipping company that is authorised to transport hazardous goods. This ensures that your cylinders arrive safely and properly to us and back to you.

Further information about shipping and filling our compressed gas bottles can be found in our technical information section.
